چکیده
Background: Inflammation of the retina, choroid, and nearby tissues such vitreous, optic nerve head, retinal arteries may all occur in posterior uveitis. Aim objectives: This study's primary objective was to use OCT with improved depth focus find changes subfoveal choroidal thickness Subjects methods: Thirty patients uveitis who were visiting ophthalmology departments Al-Azhar University Hospitals Kobry El-Qobba Military Specialized Eye Hospital Cairo, Egypt, subjects this prospective research. The trial lasted between six twelve months. Results: as regard main fundus distribution among studied patients; most prevalent finding Chorioretinitis (56.7%) while choroiditis found 53.3% retinitis 30.0%. Also SFCT significantly higher than control eyes. Conclusion: An increase SCFT be a sign subclinical inflammation retina choroid that is occurring during quiescent period.

Immunosuppressive treatment of choroidal neovascularization associated with endogenous posterior uveitis.
OBJECTIVE To determine whether resolution of choroidal neovascularization (CNV), a recognized sight-threatening complication of endogenous posterior uveitis, and maintenance of vision could be achieved with immunosuppression. PATIENTS AND METHODS Fourteen patients (17 eyes) with CNV associated with endogenous posterior uveitis were enrolled in an open study. Ages ranged from 5 to 51 years. Th...
متن کاملVariation of choroidal thickness and vessel diameter in patients with posterior non-infectious uveitis
BACKGROUND Choroidal thickness (CTh) and choroidal vessel diameter (VD) in the Haler's layer were evaluated as markers of inflammatory insult in non-infectious uveitis (NIU). Spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (Spectralis®, Heidelberg Engineering Inc.) scans were acquired from 23 normal subjects (39 eyes - group 1), 7 subjects with high myopia (14 eyes - group 2), and 19 patients with...
متن کاملManifest refraction versus autorefraction for patients with subfoveal choroidal neovascularization.
PURPOSE To compare the results from manifest refraction using trial lenses and a standard visual acuity protocol to results from autorefraction for obtaining refractive error and best corrected visual acuity in patients enrolled in a randomized clinical trial. METHODS During a 4-month period, 29 patients with subfoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV), who were enrolled in the Submacular Su...
متن کاملVariation in subfoveal choroidal thickness in patients with high myopia complicated by choroidal neovascularization
The aims of this study was to observe the variation in subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) in patients with highly myopic macular complicated by choroidal neovascularization (CNV) and to compare choroidal thickness in these eyes with highly myopic eyes without CNV, matched with the others group by ages, genders, eye axial length and diopter. 72 cases with 72 eyes, confirmed with high myopia in...
